Oris Complication Moonphase

Lagi, arloji moonphase berikutnya.  Kali ini Oris Moonphase Triple Date (Ref. 7433)

Oris, sebuah perusahaan jam asal Swiss ini telah cukup lama berada di pasar arloji internasional.  
Didirikan pada tahun 1904 Paul Cattin dan Georges Christian.  Bermodal 24 pekerja pecinta arloji, perusahaan ini lantas berkibar menjadi salah satu dari 10 perusahaan pembuat jam terkemuka di dunia. 

Perusahaan ini juga dikenal sebagai pelopor teknik electroplating, sebuah teknik pelapisan emas yang telah memungkinkan arloji untuk dapat dimiliki tidak hanya orang-orang kaya, akan tetapi juga warga biasa.  Teknik electroplating ini diimbangi dengan produksi mesin lewat pengerjaan tangan untuk memastikan presisi dan akurasinya. 

Adapun Oris yang saya tampilkan ini digerakkan oleh mesin otomatis 571/72 yang dilengkapi dengan 17 jewels serta goldy rotor (case tembus pandang).  Mesin ini telah memungkinkan hadirnya beragam fitur-fitur; jam, menit, detik, kalender bulan, zona waktu ganda, serta kalender dalam satu dial.

Dengan case gold-filled (ref. 1003) berukuran 36mm (diameter tanpa menghitung crown).  Berjalan dengan sangat baik beserta fungsi tombol chronograph.  Penanggalan telah menggunakan sistem quick-set date (dengan menarik crown satu kali).

Arloji otentik ini digerakkan oleh mesin Valjoux 7768 manual movement dilengkapi 17 jewels.
Menampilkan fitur chronograph, stopwatch, day and date, dan tentu saja moon-phase!

The Thunderbird

Here comes Rolex Thunderbird Datejust Ref. 6609.  The name Thunderbird came after the US Air Force aerobatic squadron has choose this Rolex as their official wristwatch.

Armed with Oyster Perpetual, Datejust, Superlative Chronometer, Officially Certified.

Movement Cal. 1065 self-winding, Circa 1956.  This is the second edition of Thunderbird which follows its successor.  Cal. 1065 is the latest movement of Rolex at the time.  

Very nice butterfly rotor !

Geared with caliber 1065 nickel-finished lever movement equipped with 25 jewels to maintain super-balance. sweep center seconds, and aperture for the date.

The caliber was not long produced until 1960 where Rolex introduced the modern version of Thunderbird called "Turn-O-Graph".

Diameter: 36 mm.  Tonneau-shaped, polished and satined, screw-down case back with twin-lock crown.
